Biography
Alex has been drawn to nuclear engineering ever since high school, where his senior project was to design a inertial electro-static confinement fusion device.  As an undergraduate he worked as a co-op for a nuclear engineering firm called ENERCON.  Since, he has graduated with honors from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors degree in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering, he is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering.

Current Research
Alex's research with the Georgia Tech fission-fusion hybrid Subcritical Advanced Burner Reactor (SABR) project focuses on computational differences and accuracy of the models, the neutronics of the fuel pin design , and the shielding adequacy of the SC magnets.  The models include MCNPX, MCB and ERANOS with varying degrees of geometric complexities.
